The MFJ-886 frequency counter is very compact and very capable covering 1 MHz to 3 GHz. It has a high speed 300 MHz direct count with 0.1 Hz-per-second resolution. An easy to read 2 inch wide, 10 digit LCD is featured. The display also has a ultra sensitive synchronous detector RF signal strength bar graph.
This device features a metal case and is only 2.75 x 3.25 x 1.25 inches. Buttons for HOLD and GATE are featured along with a range switch to select 300 MHz or 3 GHz. BNC input is 50 ohms. Sensitivity is 0.8 mV @100 MHz, 7 mV @300 MHz, 6 mV @1 GHz and 100 mV @2.4 GHz. Maximum input of 15 dBm.
The MFJ-886 comes with an AC charger for the NiCad pack. This instrument can operate up to six hours on a single charge. A handy BNC telescopic antenna is supplied.
