When listen on USB versus LSB, most of the time, the sound is different. One sideband would have a higher pitch than the other. To rectify this, you need to do a simply carrier point adjustment.
- Push & hold the #2 and #8 on the key pad and turn the rig ON.
- Adjust VR7 and VR8 on the Signal board for the best sound (When both sideband sound closest). Ideally, you should use a frequency counter, however a good set of ears via headphones will do.
- This complete the re-calibration procedure.
